Better Facilities for Everyone

Anne Marie has worked hard to improve the infrastructure and facilities in Teignbridge since 2010. The redevelopment of the Carlton Theatre in Teignmouth will give the town a terrific new arts centre. The redevelopment of Fish Quay funded by nearly £1 million of local and EU money will provide better refrigeration and ice-making facilities for local fishermen as well as more capacity. She also fought for over £1.2 million of improvements to Newton Abbot and Dawlish railway stations and Dawlish town centre. She led the successful fight to save the magistrates court in Newton Abbot and the campaign to get “assisted area” status for several areas in Teignbridge for the first time giving businesses access to grants and other forms of assistance.
