Congratulations to all the pupils who entered my Christmas Card competition this year. Each year, I look forward to seeing their creative designs. The four category winners of best design by a boy or girl in Year 5 or 6 were Lewis Balouza, Harry Meaden, Tansy Kench, and Chloe Roper.

The Government published its modern Industrial Strategy on Monday, setting out a long-term plan to boost the productivity and earning power of people throughout the UK.

Fly-tipping Adjournment Debate

Last Tuesday I led an adjournment debate on the serious issue of fly-tipping in rural areas. One million cases of fly-tipping were reported last year in English local authorities and the cost of clearing it up was £58 million.
