Anne Marie Morris, the Member of Parliament for Newton Abbot, recently visited the "NO LIMITS" Cafe, kitchen and Hub on Bridge Street in Newton Abbot.
NO LIMITS is a community cafe, kitchen & Hub where young people with different abilities learn new skills, gain work experience & are supported in their transition to work and a more independent adult life. The Hub provides 1-1 to support through Job coaches for those 16-24 year olds who have a physical or mental health condition or disability. With the help of Lottery funding and community grants, NO LIMITS enables these young people to learn a variety of skills which will hopefully lead to paid employment. NO LIMITS works with businesses and individuals to provide Work Experience, Supported Internships, Supported Apprenticeships and Supported Employment across Devon.
Commenting on her visit to the NO LIMITS cafe, kitchen & Hub, Anne Marie said: "If you have not been to NO LIMITS café, kitchen and hub on Bridge Street in Newton Abbot you should! Not only is it a great café with good coffee and all things tasty, it is the best example I have seen of giving people with additional needs the respect they deserve and the skills they need.
Sarah and the team are doing an incredible job and are working with schools and employers across Devon to provide work opportunities to ensure these young people can thrive in life. A true asset to the community!"
