Devon County Council has been given the green light to a £5.4 million traffic easing scheme at the Drumbridges roundabout. The scheme aims to calm traffic where there are presently traffic jams during peak times. It will also improve road capacity ready for Devon County Council's plans for more houses to be built in the area during 2013-2033.
Anne Marie Morris has welcomed the news:
"The Drumbridges road revamp is great news for us commuters and for our local businesses. I hope to see further improvements to our local road and rail networks in the future, and will continue to work hard with Government and local councils to ensure that the necessary funding is in place."
