Teignbridge has some terrific schools but Devon has been one of the worst funded counties in the country when it comes to education. Anne Marie has been fighting hard for a much fairer share as part of the f40 campaign group. All this pressure has started to pay off because last year Devon was given an additional allocation of money for schools in the county. An increase in government money of 4.5% was secured. This is an additional £16.2 million to be spent on pupils from this year. Devon is one of the top five beneficiaries in the country from the additional money which is worth an extra £189 for each pupil.
