Lower Water Bills

Anne Marie campaigned tirelessly along with other local MPs to get a water bill rebate in the South West where rates were the highest in the country. She organised street stalls in Dawlish and Newton Abbot to get supporters to sign her campaign card pressing for a rebate and was delighted to see the Chancellor allocate £40 million across the South West including £2.35 million in Teignbridge. From April 2013 every resident should have noticed a £50 rebate on their bills. However, the campaign did not stop there. People paying their water bills through a landlord did not all get their rebate and Anne Marie took this up with the Minister to get it sorted out. The fight to get the rebate extended to businesses as well as residential properties will continue.
