Devon actually has a higher rate of employment than the national average, and Teignbridge has a higher rate still. However, there tends to be little diversity in the type of employment opportunities that are available down here, and wages also tend to be lower than in the rest of the country.

Attracting inward investment into the area, therefore, would be one of my highest priorities if I were to be elected as an MP, and I would work with others to try and achieve a greater number of well-paid, and varied, jobs into the constituency.
