Anne Marie Morris fights for bypass
8th June 2010
Anne Marie Morris is backing a Westminster Hall debate on Transport in South Devon on Wednesday (9th June).
The debate which has been called by Torbay MP, Adrian Sanders, will outline the importance of the Kingskerswell bypass to the future of the Teignbridge and Torbay area.
Anne Marie Morris said:
“We have to take every step possible to ensure that the bypass gets built.
“We must highlight to the decision makers in Westminster how important it is to the people and economies of Newton Abbot, Torbay and the South Hams to have this bypass.”
Westminster Hall is a secondary debating chamber in the House of Commons and a debate held there is, in effect, an Adjournment Debate and as such the Government is obliged to send a Minister to reply.
