Anne Marie spearheaded the campaign, along with other local MPs and the County Council, to get the funding for the new bypass at Kingskerswell. Back in 2010 the project was one of many competing for a share of the Government’s £600 million fund allocated to new road building. So it was a huge win for Anne Marie and the team when the scheme was finally approved with £76 million of the funding coming from the Department for Transport. Today, £108 million and nearly five years of hard work later, everyone is looking forward to the planned opening in December this year.
